Samuel Adams Summer Ale

I like most of Sam Adams offerings.  I really like their Cream Stout, their Black Lager and almost everything else I've ever tasted from them  I can't wait for their Octoberfest to come out.  I just love that stuff!

I had a Summer Wheat Ale tonight and I gotta say, it's turned out to be my least favorite.  You can taste the lemon and while that might not be so bad, it soon gets over powered by the peppery grains of paradise.  The tartness of the lemon is great for a thirst quenching summer brew, but the pepper is a bit too much.

I still have that peppery taste a half hour after I drank a bottle.  It smelled really good, all lemony and spicy and a little yeast, but it didn't deliver in the taste as much as I'd hoped.

I didn't dislike it and I will finish off the sixer I have, but I'm thinking if I want a summer brew, so far, the Alaskan Summer Ale has it beat.
